We’ve taken delivery of our 2020 Basso Diamante rental bikes just as the COVID-19 pandemic started to grip the world. It means that our excellent 2019 fleet is now up for sale whilst our 2020 fleet of Basso Diamante Disc Brake di2 bikes lies gathering dust waiting for normality to resume.

For 2019 we jumped directly to the top of the Basso Bikes range of bikes
We have selected almost identical bike for the 2020 season as our striking 2019 bikes. The only difference being the addition of disc brakes for 2020. The frames are in a very impressive Rubin red colour scheme with excellent detailing of the Basso logo in white.

La Fuga has now been using Basso bikes as our rental machines for four years. We’ve remained super impressed by the quality build and super responsive nature of all the bikes. Over the past four years we’ve crept up the pecking order in the Basso range and now spec the top of the range, Basso Diamante, as our go-to bike. In 2019 it undertook a complete redesign of the popular previous model to give more stiffness, superior handling and allow wider tyres to be fitted amongst other things. All the time is remaining true to the 40+-year-old tradition of making excellent looking machines.

This 40-year-old company uses its expertise in the motorsport, military and aerospace industry with high-performance carbon fibre manufacture to produce bicycles entirely manufactured in Italy and with no added alloys or metals. As a result, the frames are stronger, lighter and perform better than many other bike manufacturer offerings.

Our 2019 rental bikes have an excellent specification, minimal use and are in superb condition after being serviced regularly by our professional mechanics. They have all been fully serviced ahead of our Basso Rental Bike sale so you can expect a great ride.

Our fleet is made up of Basso Diamante di2 with a Rubin Red paint scheme. These come with a full Shimano Ultegra di2 Electronic R8050 groupsets and Hunt – Race Aero Wheelset with a RRP £6000.00. The Diamante is a super-light machine at the top of the Basso range combining lightness and strength with superb handling, responsive on the climbs and fast on the flat.
