The 2017 route for the Etape du Tour has been revealed. It is Briançon to Col d’Izoard, 178km and 2 cols. It is sure to be a key stage in the Tour de France, with the iconic 16km climb of the Izoard featuring 34 times in the history of the Tour de France, as well as hosting the finish of the women’s professional one day race, La Course.

Your route will take in Lake Embrun, Col de Vars, Barcelonnette before finishing with an ascent of the Izoard itself.  Described by former Tour de France director Jaques Goddet as “[a] harrowing trial which establishes the boundary between difficult and terrifying” the Izoard is a brute with the last 10km averaging 9%.  A real test for professional and amateur alike.  And as always La Fuga will be there supporting you every step of the way with the charisma, passion and expertise that you have come to expect from us over the last eight years.
