The Etape du Tour is one of the most prestigious sportives in the world. Each year it follows the route of that year’s Tour de France, taking in the same iconic roads and high mountain climbs that the professionals race over.
The 2020 Etape du Tour route was announced on 3rd October 2019 with the route starting and finishing in Nice. The event sold out in just a few days and entries are now only available through Official Tour Operators.

Etape entries can be purchased either with an accommodation package and are €225 per entry. Please indicate whether you would like an entry when purchasing your package.

Ask anybody in the world to name a bike race and you will get the overwhelming response: the Tour de France. Now, ask them to think of a sportive and you will get a similarly overwhelming answer: L’Etape du Tour. This is the big one, the one everybody wants to be able to write on the first line of their cycling CV.

In the twenty-five years since the Tour de France has been organising its very own sportive, the organisation have consistently chosen some of the most challenging and hallowed stretches of tarmac known to the sport, and this year's edition will be no different. The Tour’s stated intention is to give ordinary cyclists the chance to test their legs against the world’s best over the same roads, and this July’s classic mountain route will provide a stage fit to crown you a king of the road.

The 2020 route for the Etape du Tour has been revealed. It is Nice to Nice, 177km with 3 major cols – Col de la Colmiane, Col de Turini and the Col d’Eze

Friday 3 July – ARRIVAL DAY
We will run an airport pick-up from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE)
You will be transferred to your hotel – a short distance from the airport. Our expert mechanic will put your bike together and give it a thorough check to make sure it’s in good condition for the weekend ahead.
There will be the chance to ride an easy warm up ride along the sea front and up the Col d’Eze to check out the bikes before a quick coffee and return to the hotel.
A pre-dinner welcome will allow your Tour Manager to explain how the weekend will unfold. Dinner will be taken in a local restaurant close to the hotel.
Saturday 4 July
After waking up in the sublime setting of the Côte d’Azur you will enjoy breakfast overlooking the shimmering waters of the Mediterranean.
Today you will enjoy a gentle ride in the morning. The aim is to spin the legs and loosen things up for the challenge tomorrow. Lunch will be had at a cafe en route. In the afternoon we will visit the race village, pick up race numbers and sample the pre-race atmosphere. Our visit will be brief to allow sufficient rest back at the hotel. Your bike will receive a final check over from our mechanic and your race number fitted.
Your Tour Manager will give an extensive race briefing including all the information you need on the course and how to tackle the event.
An early dinner will allow you to relax in your own way or get an early night in preparation for the event.
Sunday 5 July
The Big Day! Having had a good nights sleep, the hotel will serve a breakfast suitable for the day’s activities with generous helpings. You will have a short transfer towards the start area where there will be time for a quick espresso or two before getting into your pen in enough time for your start.
The La Fuga Pro Support stations will be en-route to stock you up with the best energy and motivation to complete the course.
After a tough and hopefully enjoyable race, we’ll meet you at the La Fuga finish tent with some cold drinks and congratulations. After relaxing and exchanging stories you can make your way back to the to the hotel or just relax and take in the atmosphere.
A celebratory dinner will be taken in Nice to enjoy and saviour with your fellow riders an excellent ride and great achievement.
Monday 6 July – DEPARTURE DAY
One last breakfast overlooking the magnificent Côte d’Azur and maybe a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais to take another espresso. Your La Fuga mechanic will have packed your bike ready for the flight home so you can just enjoy the last few hours in Nice.
We will run a transfer to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE).

The lovely 4* Hotel Cartlon in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, the one of the beautiful villages of the Riviera, situated halfway between Nice and Monaco. The hotels building is from 1930s.
