La Fuga is excited to announce we will continue our support of the Haute Route series across Europe. The organisers of the Haute Route are expanding their range of sports events to include the inaugural Haute Route Stelvio in 2018. Designed to be shorter and more accessible this three day event will be based in the Italian Alpine resort of Bormio at the base of the famous Passo dello Stelvio. The event will include two road stages and one time trial stage. Of course the Passo dello Stelvio will feature in each of the stages. More details of each stage are expected to be announced in November 2018.

While the Haute Route race organisers have yet to publish the routes for each of the three stages it is very likely that they will make good use of each accent. It is likely that the final stage will be a time trial up the mountain from Bormio and that each other stage will feature the climb during the stage.
The Haute Route Stelvio will feature three stages:
Stage 1: Fri 8th June
Stage 2: Saturday 9th June
Stage 3: Sunday 10th June (Time Trial)
In three days of racing riders will cover just over 270 kilometres with 7500m of climbing up one of the fiercest mountains on offer in Europe. As always La Fuga will be there every step of the way to support you on and off the bike.
Unlike previous Haute Route events that have a different race village each day, this new edition to the Haute Route series will be based in Bormio at the base of of the Passo dello Stelvio, meaning less unpacking an repacking and more time to recover between race stages.
