Well, the rain has finally come. After eight days of beautiful weather and warm temperatures El Nino is in full swing as the rain pours down and the wind blows on the West cost.
It’s time to take stock on all the miles ridden, people met and conversations had about all things cycling. The West coast and in particular the San Diego area has the potential to become a cycling centre much like Tuscany and Provence. With coastal roads, rolling hills, the odd mountain combined with a cycling-friendly climate cyclists from all over may flock here in the future providing that we spread the word and the facilities are continued to be put in place by the State.
Hope to get out on the bike tomorrow for my last ride of the trip.
