La Fuga Support
From making your first booking, to being out on the bike or getting the plane home, La Fuga is dedicated to giving the highest-quality, individualised customer service to our guests. Our tours always have great team dynamics and groups kept deliberately small (max 15 people) to ensure support is available for all. The rides, evening drinks and dinners also help to create the positive team environment you will find on all of our trips.

‘On the Bike’ during the rides
Every ride includes a fantastic ‘on the bike’ La Fuga guide to provide assistance to our guests during the ride. All of our guides have a great deal of riding experience, many have raced at a high-level, and so are perfectly placed to pass on advice and guidance to our guests. We are big on communication at La Fuga, so our ‘on the bike’ guides are equipped with mobile phones and a 2-way radio to always keep in contact with the support vehicle.
Local knowledge
All our guides make it their priority to help guests make the most of their trip, and are experienced in doing so. La Fuga prides itself on the highest levels of customer service, an accolade confirmed by the great feedback we have received from previous guests. In addition, guides are knowledgeable of the area the trip is being run, speak the local language and understand the culture.
First aid and Medical
Your safety and enjoyment is a priority and our guides will make sure to point out any hazards we are aware of. There is always a trained first-aider on our trips and first-aid kits are carried in all support vehicles.
Photographic
Our guides also take photos when possible throughout the tours. This allows you to concentrate on the rides, the scenery, and the moments of relaxation, rather than having to stop to record the moment. All photos are uploaded to Flickr once the trip has ended, and a link is sent to all guests so that they can relive their finest moments all over again.

Mechanics
On arrival of a tour our clever guides, who are also competent in mechanics, will put together guests bikes and any bike box/bag will be packed away, stored and transported with us to each location. Our support vehicle is equipped with a workshop style bike stand, extensive toolkit and also houses essential spares such as tubes, tyres, cables and tape etc. Spare wheels are carried in the support vehicle for all current drivetrains, so that any punctures can be immediately rectified with a new wheel - just like the pros.
Rental bikes
Every year we run a brand new fleet of rental bikes so you can be assured that condition of the bikes remains high. We are currently in the process of updating last year’s fleet and have 2012′s fleet on sale. Please see below for more information.
Bike Shuttle
On the biggest sportives (Maratona, Marmotte, Etape), La Fuga partners with a bike shuttle service. We have found that this is the safest and surest way to get your bike to big events on time and in good condition. Guests can request further details of this service by contacting us.
Navigational Support

Navigational
For the last three years we have been delighted to team up with Garmin and use Garmin Edge 800 navigational units and Basecamp software. This means each of our guests can use their own garmin for their daily ride with pre-loaded navigational information about their route. We provide waterproof route cards to each guest and explain the notable aspects of the ride, and big climbs with stats and descriptions. Holding onto the route cards from each day can also be a great memento from your trip.
Vehicle back-up
On almost all of our tours, we use two vehicles to support riders. The first goes ahead to check everyone in to the next hotel with their baggage, so our guests can relax on arrival. The second provides rider support on the road, anything from handing out water to providing mechanical support or taking photos. We even have extra clothing on board just in case the weather turns for the worse!

Lunch and Nutritional Extras
offering our guests proper nutrition, in forms that they actually want to eat, is a level of support we know is required to complete the biggest sportives or multi-day rides. Our guides understand this and are happy to offer the right product and advice to ensure you perform at your best.
On longer riding days, we set up a lunchtime stop, roughly halfway along the route, to provide a place to regroup, refuel and relax. We make every effort to find a spectacular location and always provide a healthy and yummy lunch to set guests up for the ride ahead. Moreover, nutritional supplies are also available throughout the day's ride and guests are supplied with goodies from our partners Nuun and Clif Bars.
We love Nuun, a company started by a group of athletes to make great hydration products for people like us (we can’t decide between our favorites: Kona Cola or Strawberry Lemonade!) We use Nuun tabs to help our guests re-hydrate and replenish electrolytes without adding to their sugar or carb intake. This also allows the La Fuga guides to independently manage energy needs of each guest with the use of Clif Bars & Gels (our favorite has to be the White Chocolate Macadamia!). We respect Clif Bars food philosophies and sustainability initiatives, and our bellies enjoy the fact they keep hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup out of their products.
